Privacy policy
Draft. This policy is a draft and has not been reviewed. It may change before Ravel launches.
Last updated: 21 October 2026.
What Ravel is
Ravel is an iPhone app. You speak, and Ravel writes a note: a title, a short summary, clean text and to-dos. This page explains what happens to your data when you use it.
What we collect
- Your recordings (audio) and the transcripts made from them.
- Your notes: titles, summaries, text, to-dos and tags.
- Your account, which you create with Sign in with Apple.
- Your plan and how many minutes you have used this month.
Where your data goes
Ravel sends your audio and transcripts to the Ravel server, which runs on Cloudflare. The server uses them to transcribe your recording, write your note and answer your questions in Ask.
The server keeps a copy of your audio. The setting “Keep audio on this phone” controls whether your phone keeps a copy too, so recordings play without a connection.
Who helps us
Ravel uses these companies to run the app. Each one handles only what it needs for its job.
- Soniox: turns your speech into text.
- Anthropic: writes your note and answers your questions in Ask.
- OpenRouter, which routes to Together AI: writes the title, summary and to-dos for short notes.
- RevenueCat: tells the app which plan you have.
- Apple: Sign in with Apple and payments.
What we do not do
- We show no ads.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not sell your data.
Delete your data
You can delete your account in the app. This deletes your data on the Ravel server and revokes the Sign in with Apple token.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us at the address below.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
